Sunriver Oregon

I had the opportunity to be in Sunriver Oregon this weekend for work.  While I have lived in Oregon my whole life I had never been to Sunriver.  The Sunriver Resort could possibly become one of my new favorite spots to visit.  Sunriver is a drive from home of about 4 hours, but the weather is so wonderful, cool mornings great for hikes, walks, bike rides, hot tubing, golf, tennis and all available at the Resort, just outside your door.  If you want something more you can find horseback riding, rafting and guided tours just a short distance away. The afternoon weather is hot but not the Medford or Roseberg kind of hot and the evenings are warm enough to sit outside without a jacket. There is literally something for everyone.  The resort has several pools including a pool for the little ones and an outside fire pit for those who want more of a camping feel.  In the evening you can listen to a band in the pub after eating in one of the restaurants on site or you can visit an off site eatery. If you are someone looking for some peaceful relaxation you can find it on the deck of your room, sitting in an Adirondack rocking chair with your favorite book.  It is a very nice place to visit. I can't wait to visit again.

July trash to treasure find!

I was out grocery shopping for our 4th of July event when I decided to stop by an estate sale.  The estate sale had been going on for several weekends and I had managed to avoid it but for some reason on this day my car turned right into the driveway.  It took me about 5 minutes to find treasures that I "had" to have.  Red chairs, perfect for 4th of July and only needing a little soap, water and elbow grease.

Hello World

I am new to blogging; however, I find it a fascinating way of expression. It's like a live scrapbook and let's face it, as a long time crafter, I love scrapbooking.

For my first post I decided to use our 4th of July celebration.  We live across from where the city officials shoot off the fireworks each year.  As you can imagine the annual firework show is a very popular community event.  We never know who or how many friends and family will drop in to watch the fireworks with us and we welcome all.  This year I decided to have a dessert bar, because I like doing them and we wanted to have something fun for our guests.
